Lenskart To File for an IPO

Indian eyewear retailer, Lenskart, is expected to file for an IPO this week, and seeking a valuation of almost USD 8 billion. The IPO will run for five days from October 30th to November 4th, with anchor investors submitting their offers on October 30th. Lenskart will issue fresh shares worth an estimate of USD 243 million, at a price range between USD 4.35 and USD 4.57 per share.

Lenskart was founded in 2010 and its most recent valuation on September 10th, estimated the company to be worth USD 6.1 billion. The retailer operates more than 2,060 stores in India, and 650 overseas.

The company plans on using proceeds from the IPO to expand the number of company-owned, company-operated stores.
